
Tennessee Lawmakers Suggest Invoice That Would Grant Fathers Veto Energy Over Abortion With out Pregnant Lady’s Consent
Senator Mark Pody and Consultant Jerry Sexton (R-Tenn.) have proposed a measure that may grant fathers veto energy over abortion with no pregnant lady’s consent. The invoice, SB494/HB1079, is the most recent push to limit abortion within the state of Tennessee.
The measure, if handed, “allows an individual to petition a courtroom for an injunction to ban a girl who's pregnant with the individual’s unborn kid from acquiring an abortion; calls for the petitioner to execute a voluntary acknowledgement of paternity that isn't topic to being rescinded or challenged.”
It drew instant complaint from the American Civil Liberties Union of Tennessee.
