
Arguable plan to rename 44 San Francisco faculties is placed on grasp
SAN FRANCISCO — The top of the San Francisco college board has placed on grasp arguable plans to rename 44 faculties till scholars are again on campus after months of digital studying all through the coronavirus pandemic.
Board of Schooling President Gabriela López introduced the verdict in Monday’s editions of the San Francisco Chronicle and on SFChronicle.com on Sunday, the newspaper reported.
“There were many distracting public debates as we’ve been running to reopen our colleges,” López wrote. “Faculty renaming has been considered one of them. It was once a procedure begun in 2018 with a timeline that didn’t await an epidemic. I recognize and take accountability that errors have been made within the renaming procedure.”
