Giants fan crushes A’s fan in fight of Bay House contestants

Walnut Creek resident Natalie Tyson gave the impression as a contestant on “Jeopardy!” Monday evening and used her second within the highlight to inform The united states about her love for the Oakland A’s.

All the way through the sport display’s first business spoil, she recalled an afternoon at RingCentral Coliseum all through which she loved a shuttle across the box with Stomper, the group’s elephant mascot.

“He can’t communicate, however I believe like we in reality shaped a robust friendship that day,” she informed “Jeopardy!” manufacturer and present visitor host Mike Richards.

Tyson, an educational consultant, then playfully peered into the digicam and mentioned, “So, Stomper, with a bit of luck, should you’re gazing, you felt the similar manner.”

“I’m certain he’s touched,” remarked Richards, who went on to mention, “We have now slightly contention at the ‘Jeopardy!’ degree.”

Richards identified that the returning champion, Sam Stapleton, a faculty guide from Los Gatos, is a huge Giants fan.

“They’re just a little of a just right success appeal,” Stapleton mentioned, happening to give an explanation for that during 2010 he and his spouse purchased their first area and the Giants received the Global Sequence. In 2012, the Giants have been champs once more and their son used to be born, and in 2014 the Giants captured their 3rd identify and so they welcomed a brand new daughter.

“So in 2021 — getting on ‘Jeopardy!’ — it’s their 12 months once more,” Stapleton claimed, to which Tyson vigorously shook her head.

And so it used to be on!

Sadly for Tyson, she used to be not able to compare the achievements of the 2020 A’s, who, um, stomped far and wide the hapless, pathetic, nugatory Giants. (Are you able to inform I’m an A’s fan?). She mustered most effective $1,000 and completed in 3rd position whilst Stapleton received the sport with $17,100.

Stapleton, who has an overly first rate two-day general of $50,301, shall be going for 3 in a row this night. Tyson, in the meantime, shall be gazing from her Walnut Creek house, dreaming of a candy reunion with Stomper at some point.
